The JG6500 also known as "The Obama Watch" was given as a gift to President Barack Obama by his Secret Service detail in 2007.
The commander-in-chief has worn the timepiece on a number of special occasions, from his nomination speech to his acceptance of the Nobel Peace Prize. This commemorative edition was introduced in 2009.
On the caseback, a special inscription reads, "The 44th President of the United States, Barack H. Obama, January 20th, 2009, Commemorative Edition".
